not a competition

Nice video, but I think its misses the point. Science and Religion answer different questions. Science asks "What?" and "How?"; Religion asks "Why?" and "Where's the meaning?" It's not a competition. They can even work hand in hand.

I agree that the Creationist has it wrong. But I think Scientists who ignore the genuine questions that Religion and Philosophy help us ask are also off the mark as well.

I am proud of what Science has accomplished, but I also feel that Religion has helped us find meaning, purpose and inspiration.

Thanks for posting the video.

True, but I have to appreciate the comeback to all the "man has achieved nothing without God" crap. My only addition the the video might have been to show us some of the finer things religion has given us: Jihad, Inquisition, Crusades, forced conversion.... Yes, I know that's a slightly one dimensional view, but it doesn't get said enough in response to the brouhaha of religious apologetics, to say nothing of the "science is teh ebil" nonsense.... YMMV, of course.
